A unique golf tournament with a cryptocurrency prize of $10 million will take place in December. Renowned players will participate.

Cryptocurrency Tournament

The Crypto.com Showdown will be held at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, featuring players from rival tours: Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy from the PGA Tour, along with Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau from LIV Golf. The event will follow a Ryder Cup-style format with various match types.

Major Sponsors and Stars

The main sponsor, Crypto.com, will provide the prize in its native Cronos token. Bryson DeChambeau commented, 'The Showdown has been about innovation, and the involvement of Crypto.com brings a new excitement.'

Sports and Cryptocurrency

Crypto.com, known for its sports partnerships in Formula 1 and UFC, continues to push cryptocurrency into the sports world. However, as seen with FTX and other projects, such partnerships can carry risks.

Partnerships with sports represent a strategic move for companies promoting cryptocurrencies. The Crypto.com Showdown tournament will mark another milestone in the development of such partnerships.
