HashKey Group, one of the leading digital asset financial services companies in Asia, has partnered with Catizen, a Telegram Mini App, to develop GameFi products and digital entertainment infrastructure within the TON ecosystem.
Collaboration for GameFi Development
This is HashKey Group’s first clear step into the Web3 domain. Together, they aim to create GameFi products and digital entertainment infrastructure within the TON ecosystem. Catizen users will be able to obtain regulated digital asset services from HashKey Global, a licensed exchange and a subsidiary of HashKey Group. HashKey Global will ensure the quality of these digital asset services to support the emerging GameFi market, especially given the increasing interest in the TON ecosystem, where more developers are actively participating on the platform.
Addressing Game Sustainability Issues
The HashKey Group and Catizen collaboration also aims to tackle the issues facing the GameFi and Web3 gaming industries. A major problem in this sphere is game sustainability, which is a concern for both Web3 and traditional Web2 games. Games are often developed with short life spans, making it difficult for users to stay engaged and rendering them unprofitable. Tim Wong, Chairman of the Catizen Foundation, highlighted the need for proper tracking mechanisms to measure user engagement. He mentioned that third-party platforms play a crucial role in monitoring interactions and addressing issues with on-chain users within Catizen, which boasts over 120 million daily active users.
Growth of the TON Ecosystem
The HashKey Group and Catizen partnership is one way the TON ecosystem is being extended. TON Ventures, a new venture capital company, is now targeting early-stage crypto projects within the TON blockchain with a $40 million fund. This fund will help investors find builders who will help grow and further the ecosystem. Beyond the partnership with HashKey and Catizen, TON has also formed other strategic partnerships with several participants in the blockchain industry. This week, TON partnered with Pyth Network, a decentralized data oracle, to improve data provision for developers working on the TON blockchain. This partnership will ensure the integration of Pyth’s advanced Oracle data feeds to help developers create unique decentralized applications. TON has also partnered with IntoTheBlock (ITB), an on-chain analytics and DeFi services company, to further bolster the network.
These events demonstrate that the TON blockchain is becoming a new, promising center of gravity for Web3 and GameFi projects and their development. The partnership between HashKey Group and Catizen is significant for the future of digital entertainment advancements.
