The 5th edition of Paris Blockchain Week, the leading conference on blockchain and Web3, and Europe’s largest gathering of thought leaders, innovators, and experts from around the world, concluded at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris on April 9–11, 2024.

Introduction

The conference attracted over 9000 attendees and more than 500 speakers, including notable figures such as Richard Teng, CEO of Binance; Kingsley Coman, international French football player and Lingo ambassador; Jeremy Allaire, co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Circle; Tim Draper, founder and managing partner at Draper Associates. Also featured were Blaise Matuidi, football legend and Web3 investor, and many others.

The Future of Web3 and Blockchain Technologies

Today, with companies from all over the world participating in the Web3 and blockchain industry, awareness of the developments and advancements made through the Paris Blockchain Week will lead to many more breakthroughs in the future. Web3 includes elements of distributed networks, the Semantic Web, and virtual spaces, and blockchain is considered one of its core technologies. Blockchain provides a mechanism to record data transactions in a distributed ledger and prevent tampering.
