Hoichi has announced the launch of Torii Gateway - a multi-layer bridge that connects over 60 blockchain networks and 1500 tokens to the Shibarium ecosystem. This project was unveiled during an appearance on the Shy Speaks podcast hosted by Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama.
Expanding Blockchain Access
Torii Gateway acts as a multi-network connector, linking chains such as Ethereum, BaseChain, Arbitrum, and Shibarium. This enables users to interact flexibly with various cryptocurrency platforms. Kusama highlighted the importance of this system, stating:
"That’s why I think what you guys are building is actually pretty darn important in the larger scale of what Shibarium can be."
Strengthening Security with Fusion DCRM
The design of Torii prioritizes security as a core feature. The project employs Fusion DCRM technology, which utilizes multi-signature and group encryption. This means that even if a wallet is hacked, it cannot unlock liquidity or keys independently.
General Development Plans
In addition to bridging networks, Hoichi aims to create an all-encompassing platform where newcomers can freely explore multiple chains. Future plans include integrating non-EVM networks such as Solana and Tron. There are also plans to implement fiat on- and off-ramps, enhance rewards, and establish a staking platform.
With the launch of Torii Gateway, Hoichi offers users expanded opportunities to interact with various blockchains while emphasizing security and usability, making DeFi more accessible.
