i2 Group and Chainalysis have announced the integration of cryptocurrency analytics data into the Analyst’s Notebook software, aimed at improving investigation capabilities for crimes.

Objective and Significance of the Collaboration

The partnership between i2 Group and Chainalysis aims to improve analytical tools for public sector investigations. Integrating blockchain data allows users to conduct deep analyses of complex criminal networks, particularly those involving cryptocurrencies. This will empower law enforcement and intelligence agencies to more effectively identify and mitigate criminal and terrorist activities.

The combination of Chainalysis data with i2's platform marks a major step in our mission to provide public sector agencies with the full picture for unraveling complex networks.Kevin O'Brien, President of Chainalysis Government Solutions

Data Integration and New Opportunities

The integration of Chainalysis cryptocurrency data into Analyst’s Notebook is achieved via a dedicated connector. This offers investigators valuable insights into illicit financial flows. Users can directly integrate data from Chainalysis API for a more comprehensive view of investigations.

We are excited to partner with Chainalysis to bring on-chain data into our platform. This integration will enhance user capabilities by providing a more complete view of data.Jamie Caffrey, Executive Vice President at i2 Group

Expansion of Chainalysis Initiatives

As part of its efforts to combat cryptocurrency-related crime, Chainalysis plans to expand its anti-phishing initiative, 'Operation Spincaster,' to additional countries in the coming months.

The collaboration between i2 Group and Chainalysis opens new avenues in investigating cryptocurrency-related crimes, strengthening the ability of law enforcement agencies to uncover and neutralize complex criminal networks.
