Tangem AG, a global provider of secure hardware wallet solutions, has collaborated with Visa to develop a cutting-edge self-custodial payment solution tailored for hardware wallets. This strategic partnership enables Tangem users to conduct seamless transactions using their cryptocurrency or stablecoin balance at establishments that accept Visa payments.

The advanced technology will be accessible through a Tangem Visa card across Europe and will subsequently be extended to other issuers for their clientele. Tangem's card incorporates a private key within the chip, necessitating the physical card's utilization in every transaction to ensure users retain complete control over their digital assets.

Cuy Sheffield, Visa's Vice President and Head of Crypto, conveyed enthusiasm regarding the alliance and its potential to foster the emergence of next-generation payment mechanisms.
