South Korean company BDACS has launched institutional custody support for the cryptocurrency XRP, providing access to one of the most actively traded digital assets.
BDACS and Ripple Partnership
In February, BDACS partnered with Ripple to expand custody capabilities for institutional clients. The company confirmed on its official X account that institutions can now securely store and manage XRP using Ripple Custody.
Integration with Leading Exchanges
BDACS also announced its recent integration with South Korea's leading exchanges, including Upbit, Coinone, and Korbit. This will allow institutional clients to use XRP across the country's top trading platforms in a regulated manner.
Growth of Crypto Assets Among Koreans
A recent report from the Hana Institute of Finance revealed that one in four South Koreans aged 20 to 50 owns crypto assets. The study showed increasing confidence in cryptocurrency as a wealth-building tool and in retirement planning, especially among older investors.
The launch of institutional XRP custody by BDACS highlights the growing interest in the cryptocurrency market in South Korea and the desire of institutional investors to utilize digital assets in their strategies.
