IO.NET Appoints Garrison Yang as Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer

Mar 28, 2024

New York, United States, March 28th, 2024, Chainwire

On March 19, 2024, io.net made an exciting announcement regarding the appointment of Garrison Yang as the Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer. Yang will take on the role of overseeing the growth, strategy, and marketing aspects of the DePIN's core products, focusing on customer service and expanding the global community.

Garrison Yang brings a wealth of experience to the blockchain-based network, having previously held the position of Vice President of Growth at Ava Labs. With a background that includes roles at Incredible Health, Meta, Monotype, and Engie, as well as advisory positions at web3 startups, Yang's strategic growth expertise will be a valuable addition to the io.net team.

In his new role at io.net, Yang will be instrumental in advancing the network's mission to provide democratized access to GPU compute capacity. His leadership is particularly significant following the completion of a $30 million Series A funding round by IO Research, io.net's parent company. Investors in the funding round included Hack VC, Solana Labs, and OKX.

Yang expressed his excitement about the potential of decentralized GPU clusters to transform AI and ML operations, emphasizing io.net's goal of building the largest decentralized compute network globally. The network, running on Solana, has already seen success by supporting Apple silicon chip clustering for machine learning applications and attracting over 100,000 nodes to join.

io.net's Ignition rewards program, which is currently running, aims to incentivize users based on their GPU capacity contributions. The program is set to continue until April 28, coinciding with the launch of io.net's native token, IO.
