The IOTA network celebrated its 100th day since the launch of its upgraded Mainnet, marking steady growth and uninterrupted service. During this period, approximately 170 million transactions were processed with no downtime.
Achievements of IOTA in 100 Days
IOTA has reached significant milestones, including an aggregate of nearly 700,000 addresses and an average of around 30,000 daily active addresses. 300 new smart contract packages were released during the upgrade period, demonstrating ongoing development activity. The maximum transaction volume reached 4,734 transactions per second.
Major Protocol Updates
In April 2025, IOTA introduced the Starfish Consensus Protocol, allowing for throughput of up to 150,000 transactions per second. Planned updates include enhancing the platform through the Rebased Protocol, which replaced the old Stardust system and offered additional smart contract capabilities. The current system updates have ensured throughput exceeding 50,000 transactions per second, boosting the speed of decentralized applications.
Simplifying Web3 Interaction
The recent update of Gas Station v0.2 allows users to interact with the platform without needing to hold IOTA tokens to pay for transaction fees. This will simplify interaction for companies and developers, highlighting growing community involvement in network development.
With its achievements and upcoming updates, IOTA continues to strengthen its position as an efficient Layer-1 blockchain network. Increased market activity and positive trends in token trading underline the project's ongoing success.
