Warhorse Studios has announced that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be delayed until February 11, 2025. The much-anticipated sequel was originally expected to come out in late 2024. The announcement was made by the studio’s PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, in a video posted on X.
Showcase of new gameplay at Gamescom
To build hype around the game, Warhorse Studios plans to showcase Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 at Gamescom 2024. The presentation, set for August 20, will include a 20-minute gameplay session. Attendees will see the game's mechanics, environment, and new features. A new trailer will also be shown, detailing storylines and the game's scope. Additionally, Gamescom attendees will have the chance to play a demo of the game. A collector’s edition announcement with exclusive content for fans is also expected.
Expansion of the world and enhanced features
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is set to be much larger than the 2018 original. The game world has doubled in size, featuring improved animations, more weapons, and new interactive NPCs. The story continues to follow Henry in early 15th century Bohemia, maintaining its dedication to historical accuracy and realistic gameplay. The game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, offering a wide range of platforms for players.
Despite the postponement, Warhorse Studios remains committed to their vision for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The additional time allows them to deliver the best possible experience. The sequel builds on the foundation of the first game, offering participants a larger open world to explore.
