Since its launch, the Lagos Blue Line has transported over 5 million passengers. According to Governor Sanwo-Olu, trains run every 10 minutes and make over 90 trips daily, becoming an essential part of the city's transport infrastructure.
Expansion Plans and Infrastructure Development
Currently, Phase 2 of the project is being developed, which will extend the line an additional 14 kilometers from Mile 2 to Okokomaiko, with six new stations planned. Simultaneously, bridge replacements are underway to ensure the safe operation of the system.
