Cryptocurrency analyst Joao Wedson has drawn attention to recent developments in the altcoin market, predicting a rise in liquidations in their transactions.
Increase in Altcoin Liquidations
Wedson noted that by 2025, liquidations in altcoins are expected to exceed those of Bitcoin. This is seen as a strong indicator of increased speculation in the market.

According to the analyst, while most liquidations on Binance throughout 2024 came from Bitcoin transactions, altcoin liquidations began to rise sharply from the start of 2025. This trend has reportedly intensified, particularly since July 2025, with significant increases in both long and short positions in altcoins.
Wedson's Future Predictions
Wedson also predicted that interest in altcoins will rapidly increase in August and September, leading to a decline in Bitcoin dominance. He expressed that altcoins could reach all-time highs in October and November, transitioning into a distribution phase, which may trigger selling pressure.
