A group of investors has filed a lawsuit against Eden Gallery and artist Gal Yosef, accusing them of not fulfilling promises related to the Meta Eagle Club in the metaverse.

Details of the Lawsuit

36 NFT holders have filed a lawsuit in a New York federal court against Eden Gallery and artist Gal Yosef, claiming the Meta Eagle Club project was a scam. They allege that nothing substantial was done to build the Meta Eagle Club despite assurances from the project team.

Unmet Promises

NFT holders were promised entry into the Meta Eagle Club and various perks, such as attending gallery events and enjoying luxury travel experiences. However, plaintiffs claim only a few tickets and events were provided. In January 2023, a vote on Eden Gallery's Discord was held to reallocate the budget of remaining items due to an economic downturn.

Position of the Parties and Consequences

The plaintiffs accuse Eden Gallery and Gal Yosef of fraud and unjust enrichment. They seek damages decided by the court and legal proceedings. As of now, the gallery and artist have not responded to inquiries for comments.

The lawsuit against Meta Eagle Club highlights the complexities and risks of investing in NFTs, as courts continue to scrutinize unfulfilled promises and fraudulent schemes.
