Shelf Registration of $3.7 Billion
Meta Planet's registration will be active from August 9, 2025, to August 8, 2027. The company plans to issue securities in portions over the two years when market conditions are favorable. The latest filing expands the previously announced goal of raising 210,000 bitcoins by 2027.
Bitcoin Accumulation Since 2024
Since April 2024, Meta Planet has acquired 17,132 BTC worth $1.95 billion. Recently, on July 28, the company purchased 780 BTC. The proposed raise amounts to 75% of the company’s market capitalization of 714 billion yen.
Long-Term Predictions for Bitcoin
Analysts predict that Bitcoin may reach a target price between $130,000 and $150,000 by the end of 2025. Institutional investors are actively increasing their positions, and many companies are steadily accumulating Bitcoin, which could contribute to this growth.
Meta Planet's strategy to accumulate Bitcoin may significantly influence the cryptocurrency market, considering Bitcoin's growing dominance and the interests from institutional investors.
