Michael Saylor's Strategy continues to grow its Bitcoin holdings with another significant acquisition. This event coincides with the fifth anniversary of the company's Bitcoin adoption strategy.
Purchase of $18 Million Worth of Bitcoin
According to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing, the company acquired 155 BTC for approximately $18 million during the week ending Sunday. The average purchase price was $116,401 per coin, aligning with Bitcoin's rise toward all-time highs.
Five Years of Accumulation
The latest acquisition holds symbolic significance as it coincides with the fifth anniversary of the company's BTC adoption strategy, initiated with a $250 million purchase in 2020. Since then, Bitcoin's price has surged over 960%, delivering substantial returns.
Saylor's Unshakable Vision
Co-founder Michael Saylor remains a vocal advocate for the strategy, vowing to continue purchasing Bitcoin regardless of price movements. Earlier this year, he reiterated his belief in Bitcoin reaching $21 million per coin within 21 years.
The ongoing accumulation by Strategy showcases its firm belief in Bitcoin's future. Holding nearly 629,000 BTC, the company maintains a leading position in the Bitcoin market.
