Midas has expanded its tokenization platform by launching new products mMEV and mRe7YIELD on Etherlink. This initiative highlights the company's commitment to improving access to structured yields for institutional clients.
New Products from Midas
According to a press release shared with crypto.news on July 16, Midas has added two new structured yield products — mMEV and mRe7YIELD — on Etherlink, Tezos’ high-speed Layer 2. These products follow the successful deployment of mBASIS and mTBILL, which have already secured $11 million on the platform. This expansion positions Midas as a bridge between traditional finance and on-chain composability without compromising compliance and custody oversight.
Advantages of Etherlink for Institutional DeFi
Midas’ expansion onto Etherlink appears to be a strategic effort to address core challenges of institutional DeFi: speed and compliance. Etherlink's architecture enables transactions to finalize in under 500 milliseconds with near-zero fees, allowing for efficient execution of complex operations without latency or high costs.
Midas’ Strategic Choice
Midas is drawn to Etherlink for its ability to maintain composability without compromise. With fraud-proof mechanisms and eight-second finality, Etherlink is appealing for both high-frequency strategies and regulated financial participants. Midas CEO Dennis Dinkelmeyer stated, "Etherlink offers the scalability and composability needed to bring structured, compliant strategies fully on-chain."
Midas’ expansion on Etherlink signifies a broader shift in the industry's approach to tokenized finance. The key question now revolves around how to replicate traditional yield products on-chain while ensuring credible controls and minimal friction.
