Apple Studios and A24 have begun work on a film about Sam Bankman-Fried, the former FTX CEO, adapted from Michael Lewis' book 'Going Infinite: The Rise and Fall of a New Tycoon.'

Adaptation of Michael Lewis' Book

Apple Studios and A24 are co-developing and producing a film based on Michael Lewis' book, which explores the rise and fall of the crypto exchange FTX and its founder, Sam Bankman-Fried. In September 2023, Apple paid $5 million for the rights to the book.

Project Team

Lena Dunham, known for creating and starring in the HBO series 'Girls,' will write the script for the film. Dunham has received eight Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe for her work.

Other FTX and SBF Projects

Besides the A24 and Apple movie, there are eight other projects in the works about Sam Bankman-Fried. Amazon is planning a series about FTX’s collapse consisting of eight episodes, while a profile documentary on SBF is being developed by director Nanette Burstein.

Sam Bankman-Fried was a key figure in the crypto industry before the collapse of FTX in 2022. Convicted of multiple crimes, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison. His story of rise and fall continues to inspire filmmakers and series producers.
