Renowned 'Black Swan' author Nassim Taleb shared his views on the current state of financial markets and the prospects of AI companies.
Financial Market Fragility
This week on Bloomberg TV, Nassim Taleb pointed out that current markets are more fragile than they have been over the last twenty or even thirty years. He stressed the importance of being hedged against possible market collapse, despite the rising gold prices.
Investments in Artificial Intelligence
Taleb noted that the current S&P 500 rally over the past 12 months is due to a number of firms working with AI. He likened AI to the world wide web, mentioning how everyone initially used early search engines but later switched to Google.
Future Market Risks
Commenting on the significant market downturn this year, Taleb observed these crashes occur when people least expect and are overexposed to the market. 'We are in a very similar environment we had in the previous collapses,' he added.
Nassim Taleb warns of the fragility of financial markets and expects AI companies may be the best opportunity for investors, advising caution against market overexposure.
