A new cryptocurrency exchange, EllipX, led by former Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpeles, is gearing up for its launch in Europe.
Debut in Europe
The new cryptocurrency exchange EllipX, under the leadership of Mark Karpeles, will debut in Europe later this month with its main hub in Poland. Karpeles mentioned that he is well acquainted with Poland as it was the location of his previous platform, Mt. Gox.
Efforts for MiCA Compliance
The cryptocurrency exchange EllipX is making efforts to comply with MiCA regulations. Under Karpeles’s leadership as chief technology officer, EllipX will oversee its technological components. The platform aims to ensure transparency for customers, particularly for newcomers to the cryptocurrency space.
Transparency for Users
Karpeles noted that the current market of cryptocurrency exchanges is dominated by major players such as Binance and Coinbase. However, beyond the top five or six names, it becomes difficult to determine which firms are actually operating the exchanges. He plans to separate the governing bodies of the trading platform to ensure transparency. Karpeles added that the new exchange would be modeled after the New York Stock Exchange, but dedicated to cryptocurrencies.
EllipX aims to offer full transparency and enhanced security measures for its users, reflecting the growing importance of transparency among cryptocurrency investors.
