Gemini, a regulated U.S. crypto exchange, announced the launch of the XRP credit card, providing users with new opportunities in the cryptocurrency space.
XRP Credit Card from Gemini
On August 25, Gemini launched the XRP credit card, offered in a sleek metal design. The card is issued by WebBank under the Mastercard World Elite program. The launch sparked significant interest in the XRP community. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse expressed his enthusiasm about the card.
Cashback and Benefits
With the new card, everyday spending turns into instant crypto rewards. Cardholders can earn 4% back in XRP on gas, electric vehicle charging, transit, and rideshares, 3% when dining out, 2% on groceries, and 1% on all other purchases. Gemini has also partnered with select merchants to offer up to 10% cashback on qualifying purchases. The card has no annual fee or hidden charges.
Collaboration with Cardano
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson revealed during an Ask Me Anything session on August 22 that new projects are underway to strengthen collaboration between Cardano and the XRP community. He shared that he recently had a productive discussion with Brad Garlinghouse, exploring areas where the XRP Ledger and Cardano ecosystem could work together.
The launch of the XRP card from Gemini reflects the growing interest in cryptocurrencies in everyday finance, and collaboration with Cardano adds confidence in the potential of cross-network interactions.
