Nexo, a leading digital assets platform, announces collaboration with DP World Tour for the introduction of a new prize, 'Course Record', awarded to players setting new records on golf courses.
Launch of the Prize at Nexo Championship
The prize will be part of the Nexo Championship, held from August 7–10 at the newly opened Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Prize Fund and Conditions
The prize fund starts at $10,000, given to the first player who sets a new course record that stands through the end of the event. If no record is set, the fund rolls over with an additional $10,000 added for the next event.
Organizers' Reactions and Impact on Golf Tourism
Antoni Trenchev, co-founder of Nexo, noted that this prize is a first of its kind in golf, combining player performance and the world of digital assets. Ben Cowen, Chief Tournament and Operations Officer at DP World Tour, stated that the prize will reward great play and make tournaments more exciting for fans.
The prize will remain in place for the rest of the DP World Tour season and restart for the 2026 season, strengthening the bond between Nexo and DP World Tour.
