Nexo has announced the launch of a new prize fund 'Course Record Presented by Nexo' in partnership with DP World Tour. The prize fund starts at $10,000 and will be awarded to players who break course records at selected tournaments.
New Prize Fund for Records
The prize fund debuts at the Nexo Championship, to be held from August 7 to 10 at the new Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen, Scotland. Nexo will also offer an exclusive award of $50,000 in NEXO tokens for any player breaking the course record at this week's event. If no record is broken, the prize will roll over to the next event with an additional $10,000 added.
Motivation for Players and Fans
Course records are rare in professional golf, but in 2024, ten records were set on the DP World Tour, with another six already recorded in 2025. This new prize aims to raise the stakes, encouraging players to take bolder shots. 'The Course Record is the first prize of its kind in golf,' said Antoni Trenchev, co-founder of Nexo. 'It combines top performance with the fast-moving potential of digital assets.'
