NiceHash has successfully implemented Lightning for miner payouts, processing over 1,800 payouts weekly for hashpower rentals through the Lightning Network.

NiceHash, renowned for its hashpower marketplace, revealed that they are operating a top-rated Lightning node globally, holding 2.2% of the network's total capacity and maintaining high connectedness to peers.

By enabling Lightning-based mining payouts in March, NiceHash has made it simpler and cheaper for miners to receive payments for their hash power contributions. This move has increased interest in Lightning among users on both sides of the marketplace, with over 700 Lightning addresses created weekly and an average of 1,800 payouts issued.

Since launching the node, NiceHash has processed over 350,000 Lightning transactions and contributed more than 1,500 BTC in transaction volume to the network. This has significantly driven the adoption of Lightning among its user base.

Compared to Kraken's post-launch figures from 2022, NiceHash users are engaging in transactions almost twice as frequently on a weekly basis since the implementation of Lightning payouts.

Vladimir Hozjan, CEO of NiceHash, expressed pride in the positive feedback from users regarding Lightning payouts and highlighted the company's commitment to expanding network adoption in the future.

As part of their ongoing efforts, NiceHash is preparing to launch NiceHash Pay, a Lightning-enabled solution for merchants to accept Bitcoin. The platform aims to provide a seamless onboarding experience for both merchants and users, leveraging NiceHash's expertise in operating within the Lightning network.
