Nillion has introduced a new technology, Blind Compute, enabling computation on encrypted data without exposing it, offering new prospects for artificial intelligence and healthcare.
New Platform for AI and Healthcare
Nillion announced a decentralized infrastructure supporting private computation on encrypted data. The brand-new platform is named 'Blind Compute'. It enables secure data processing in AI, healthcare, and identity systems without revealing data content.
Secure Data Use Without Decryption
The Blind Compute framework allows processing confidential information, such as running AI models or analyzing medical data, without decrypting it. The company claims removing data exposure could extend blockchain's applicability across industries.
Petnet and nilChain Technologies
Nillion’s platform is based on two core layers that enable scalable, secure, and flexible private data computation. The Petnet Layer is a modular network of clusters running Blind Compute and privacy-enhancing technologies. The Coordination Layer (nilChain), built on Cosmos SDK, manages node coordination, staking, rewards, and governance.
Nillion’s Blind Compute technology aims to establish a key infrastructural element for private data handling in decentralized systems, opening prospects for safe AI usage across various industries.
