The PARAVISION team has been disqualified from the European Regional Major Ranking (RMR) event for Counter-Strike 2 due to a violation of the rules concerning the use of a banned coach.
Circumstances of Disqualification
The PARAVISION team was disqualified from the qualifier tournament for the Shanghai Major after using banned coach Ivan 'F_1N' Kochugov during a match. This violation was detected after the team posted a video showing the coach actively participating during the game and the celebrations following their 2-1 victory against GamerLegion. Perfect World disqualified the team citing a breach of Valve's tournament rules.
Community Reaction
"PARIVISION were caught breaking the rules — during their match, third parties (including at least a cameraman and the coach) were in their room. According to the rules, only players are allowed to be present." Source: CS2 NEWS.
New Slot Allocation
With PARAVISION's disqualification, Perfect World organized a substitute competition to fill the vacant slot in the RMR. Among the teams that narrowly missed out on qualification—BLEED, KOI, and Monte—will compete in a best-of-three round-robin bracket to determine who will take PARAVISION's place. The tournament is scheduled for August 27th, and the winner will advance to the RMR. PARAVISION's rifler Robert 'Patsi' Isyanov expressed his frustration on X/Twitter, calling it 'the most ridiculous and sad situation in a career if not in life.'
The disqualification of the PARAVISION team significantly changes the dynamic for the upcoming RMR tournament in Counter-Strike 2. As a result, other teams now have a new opportunity to participate in one of the year's biggest events.
