PEPE Developer Team Selling Tokens on Binance and Decentralized Exchanges

May 28, 2024

The recent data from Onchain, provided by Spot On Chain, reveals that the PEPE developer team engaged in token sales through Binance and decentralized exchanges. The sales resulted in 21.49 billion PEPE units being sold, equivalent to $355,000, following a significant price surge to an all-time high. Despite setting a new price record, PEPE, the world's third-largest memecoin, has experienced a remarkable 134% increase in the past month. Nevertheless, the price has dipped by 7% from the record peak as of the current moment. Since the conclusion of February, the PEPE developers have sold 282.8 billion tokens at an average price of $0.000008067, translating to a revenue of $2.28 million. Notably, the price encountered a decline subsequent to the developers' sales. The available data suggests that the developer team holds tokens worth $42.7 million. However, there was a tumultuous period within the PEPE development team involving a crisis. Some developers made sudden sales of millions of dollars' worth of tokens, leading to a significant internal dispute. The developers who conducted these unnotified token sales were ousted from the project based on official statements.

Related News: Data also reveals that there was an antagonistic situation within the PEPE development team, where some members sold tokens on Binance without prior notice, causing controversy and resulting in their expulsion from the project.
