The proliferation of real-world asset transactions in the crypto sector has witnessed a significant uptick since December 2023. Funds specializing in real-world assets, particularly those dealing in tokenized money market instruments, are gaining prominence in the US market.
The BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL) has surpassed $500 million in assets under management (AUM), marking a notable achievement in this domain. Following closely, Franklin Templeton's OnChain US Government Money Fund (FOBXX) manages around $400 million in assets under management.
The surge in real-world asset transactions is indicative of the growing interest and confidence in tokenized assets within the crypto ecosystem. Market participants are increasingly diversifying their portfolios with an emphasis on real-world assets as part of their investment strategies.
