Author and financial expert Nassim Taleb recently shared his thoughts on the verdict given to Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX. Taleb, famous for his book "Black Swan," expressed skepticism towards Bankman-Fried's apology for his fraudulent actions. Despite not directly discussing the case's details, Taleb's comments imply concern that Bankman-Fried may prioritize his own situation over the victims of his scams. Bankman-Fried was convicted on all seven counts in November 2023 after defrauding FTX customers of $8 billion. FTX, once a $32 billion exchange and ranked fourth globally, faced a financial crisis that led to its bankruptcy due to reports revealing its financial instability. Bankman-Fried's legal issues began in December 2022, resulting in his recent 25-year prison sentence.
