Ripple, the U.S.-based creator of the XRP Ledger, is making a concerted push into the Asia Pacific region. The company aims to bolster crypto infrastructure in South Korea and Japan to pave the way for institutional adoption of digital assets.

Ripple's Expansion in Asia

Ripple is set to strengthen its position in Asia, focusing on South Korea and Japan. According to David Schwartz, Ripple's CTO, the company aims to prepare the region's crypto infrastructure for institutional adoption of digital assets.

Collaboration with Futureverse

In addition to its regional expansion plans, Ripple announced a partnership with Futureverse, a metaverse technology company. Futureverse will leverage Ripple Custody solutions to securely store its digital assets.

Partnership with Yonsei University

Yonsei University in South Korea has become Ripple's 58th global partner under the University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI). This collaboration is aimed at supporting research and education in the field of blockchain.

By expanding in the Asia-Pacific region and partnering with key entities such as Futureverse and Yonsei University, Ripple aims to establish a strong foundation for the institutional adoption of digital assets in the region.
