Russia continues its aggressive investment in the cryptocurrency mining industry. The Komi Republic has announced plans to build 15 new data centers. The total investment in the project amounts to $386.2 million.

New Data Centers in Komi

The project includes the construction of 15 new data centers, two of which will be located in Mikun and Sindor. These infrastructure projects will create additional opportunities for crypto mining in the region.

Legislative Changes

Recently, President Vladimir Putin signed a law legalizing industrial cryptocurrency mining in Russia. This move will allow the country to become a major player in the mining market and provide miners with access to surplus electricity, reducing production costs.

Partnership with Energoresource-K

The project is being implemented in partnership with the energy company Energoresource-K, which has already signed a cooperation agreement with local authorities.

The construction of new data centers in the Komi Republic and legislative changes in the crypto mining sector open new prospects for Russia in this industry.
