The Sei Foundation has introduced a $10 million grant fund called the Sei Creator Fund to boost the growth of NFT and Social projects within the Sei ecosystem. This fund aims to empower creators and developers working on various aspects such as collections, applications, infrastructure, content creation, and events in real life. Approval for funding will depend on the votes from the Sei community, facilitated by Gitcoin, an Ethereum blockchain bounties platform. This move by Sei Foundation is part of their strategy to build a global network of creators, similar to initiatives taken by other blockchain ecosystems. For example, Ripple announced a $250 million fund to support NFT and token projects on the XRP Ledger, but did not yield significant results in the broader crypto market. Avalanche blockchain also launched a $1 million fund to back meme coins minted on its platform, although the impact of this initiative remains to be seen.
