On October 1st, 2024, the autoscaling blockchain Shardeum announced the launch of Stage 3 of its Incentivized Testnet (ITN) Atomium. This stage continues to encourage the community to test the network and identify bugs and vulnerabilities ahead of the Mainnet launch.
About Stage 3 Launch
ITN Stage 3 commenced on October 1st, 2024, and is expected to run for 3 to 4 weeks, longer than previous stages, reflecting the Testnet’s advanced maturity. This stage will test various network functionalities, allowing further fine-tuning and stabilization of the network.
Importance of Community Engagement
Community participation has helped Shardeum fine-tune and stabilize the network. The previous ITN stages saw participation from over 540,000 users, including over 11,000 validators, facilitating more than 5 million transactions.
Reward Program Details
Stage 3 allows users to extensively stress test a broader range of on-chain activities and validator functionalities. In return, they can potentially earn rewards including SHM airdrops, XP, NFTs, and more. The program will include referral programs, social tasks, rewards challenges, and voting and quiz games to ensure maximum community engagement. Rewards can only be earned through quest tasks listed on the official testnet campaign page.
