Recently, a sharp rise in SHIB token burns of 185% has been observed. Meanwhile, the project's leadership urges calm in discussions with critics.
Warning from Lucie
Lucie, the marketing lead for Shiba Inu, has warned the community against engaging in confrontations with project critics. She notes that arguments with what are known as 'fudders' merely distract from the project's development.
She emphasized that both she and project lead Shytoshi Kusama have adopted a calm attitude toward negativity. Lucie cited a well-known quote from actor Keanu Reeves, who mentioned that he always wants to stay out of arguments, even when people are being unreasonable.
Spike in SHIB Burns
Data from on-chain tracker Shibburn revealed a dramatic 185% surge in SHIB burns over a 24-hour period. A total of 2,939,899 SHIB tokens were burned through five separate transactions.
Two transactions stood out, effectively transferring 1,694,200 and 1,076,047 SHIB to unspendable wallets. This marked a significant increase from the previous day, which only saw around 100,000 SHIB burned. However, weekly data tells a different story, as the community burned 11,730,739 SHIB in the past week, representing a decline of over 81% compared to the prior week.
Overall Strategy of SHIB Team
Lucie's remarks reinforce the broader message from SHIB leadership. While token burns may generate publicity, the true strength of the project lies in focus, not confrontation. By ignoring critics and concentrating on development, the SHIB community can align with the calm approach advocated by Shytoshi Kusama and Keanu Reeves.
The burn rate of SHIB tokens remains unstable, but the project leadership confidently encourages a focus on development rather than conflict.
