The Shibarium team has warned users about new scam schemes related to wallet connections to fake servers on Discord.
Scam Schemes on Discord
On August 14, an X user named Woof Decentra disclosed that his deployer 1 wallet (....1494) had been hacked, which became the target of scammers conducting transactions and launching new tokens. This post garnered significant attention in the crypto community, prompting influencer Edward Salomons to tag key Shiba Inu figures for comments.
Security Tips from the Shibarium Team
According to the Shibarium communication team, malicious actors have started hijacking old Discord invite links to create fake servers that appear as legitimate crypto communities. Users are deceived into authorizing malicious DApps and claiming fake rewards. The team strongly recommends users use only trusted links from SHIB.io and always verify project links through official social media channels.
Current SHIB Market Situation
Amidst these events, the price of SHIB has declined by 4.4% over the past 24 hours, trading at $0.0000130. This decline has extended its 30-day losses to 5% and 90-day losses to 8%. The current price has created an opportunity for whales, who have increased their SHIB transactions from 1.28 trillion to 2.68 trillion in just three days.
The Shibarium team continues to work on expanding the network and improving security, and users are strongly advised to exercise caution and follow wallet protection tips.
