Solana Mobile, a unit of Solana Labs, unveiled its second-generation web3 smartphone, the Seeker. The new smartphone is forecasted to hit the market in 2025 with over 140,000 pre-orders globally.

At its launch during the Token2049 conference, the Solana Seeker smartphone saw incredible interest, with over 140,000 pre-orders already received from 57 countries.
Features of Solana Seeker
The Solana Seeker smartphone reportedly brings in hardware improvements in a big way over Solana's first smartphone, the Saga. According to Emmet Hollyer, who heads the phone project at Solana Labs, Seeker will feature an improved battery, a much better camera, and even a lighter-weight design. This particular hardware will also bring features targeted toward cryptocurrency use, such as an in-built crypto wallet with better, partitioned Seed Vault key storage to enable easier and smoother transactions. In cooperation with Solflare, the Seeker will feature a mobile-first crypto wallet called the Seed Vault Wallet, designed for safe and easy web3 experiences. Additionally, the new Solana dApp Store 2.0 will enhance the discoverability of applications in key industries such as DeFi, NFTs, and gaming.
Pre-orders and Pricing
The Solana Seeker smartphone is currently available for pre-sale at an "Early Founder" price of $450 until September 21, when it moves back to $500.
Solana Mobile aims to continue the momentum triggered by the Saga smartphone, advancing mobile crypto solutions further.
