On April 5, a solo miner with an equipment hashrate of 7 PH/s successfully mined block #837,814 on the Bitcoin blockchain, earning a total of 6.36 BTC, which was equivalent to $422,750 at the time of mining. The user also received a commission of 0.1 BTC according to data from Mempool.

The pool administrator of CKPool, Con Kolyvas, mentioned that the miner had been mining intermittently since the last restart of the pool and had accumulated approximately 0.05% of the shares needed to solve a block.
In October 2023, another solo miner managed to include a block in the Bitcoin network with a hardware power of 11 PH/s, receiving a reward of 6.25 BTC and a commission of 0.09 BTC. In May 2023, a different individual also earned $177,115 by mining a block, getting a reward of 6.25 BTC and a commission of 0.24 BTC.
By the end of March 2024, the difficulty of mining Bitcoin decreased by 0.97%, reaching a difficulty level of 83.13 T. The average hashrate during this period was 593.99 EH/s, with blocks being generated approximately every 10 minutes and 7 seconds.
