A solo miner mined a Bitcoin block on April 5 with a hash rate of 7 PH/s, contributing block #837,814 to the blockchain. This was reported by CKPool administrator Con Kolivas. According to BTC.com, the miner received a reward of 6.25 BTC (approximately $422,750 at current rates) and a 0.01 BTC fee.
Glassnode reported that the network's computational power on April 4 was 598.1 EH/s (smoothed seven-day moving average). CKPool has previously seen similar instances, such as in October 2023 when a solo miner contributed with a hash rate of 11 PH/s, and in May when another individual earned $177,115 from block mining. It is worth noting that by the end of March 2024, the mining difficulty of Bitcoin decreased by 0.97% to 83.13 T.
