According to a report from Arkham Intelligence, SpaceX, the private aerospace company led by Elon Musk, has surpassed the $1 billion mark in its Bitcoin holdings as the cryptocurrency reaches a new all-time high.
Achievement of a New Record
On August 14, 2025, SpaceX recorded its Bitcoin assets at 8,285 BTC, worth approximately $1.02 billion. This is not the first time the company has crossed the $1 billion threshold.
Bitcoin Price Dynamics and Market Impact
On the same day, Bitcoin saw a price increase of over 3%, briefly exceeding $124,210 before settling near $123,824, setting a new record since July 2025. This rally raised Bitcoin's market capitalization to $2.452 trillion.
History of Bitcoin Assets held by SpaceX and Tesla
In April 2021, SpaceX held approximately 28,000 BTC valued at $1.8 billion, but sold about 70% of its holdings in mid-2022 after major market shocks. Tesla, also under Elon Musk, currently owns 11,509 BTC worth $1.42 billion.
Thus, both SpaceX and Tesla remain significant players in the Bitcoin market, reflecting the overall trend of major companies adapting and investing in digital assets.
