Standard Chartered has released a three-year forecast for XRP, predicting its desired growth to $12.5 by 2028 due to various factors.
XRP Price Forecast by Standard Chartered
According to Standard Chartered's crypto researcher, Geoffrey Kendrick, the price of XRP could reach $12.5 by 2028, which implies a gain of over 300% from current levels. Kendrick outlines a roadmap suggesting XRP will be around $5.50 by the end of 2025, $8 in 2026, and $10.40 in 2027.
Factors Driving XRP Growth
Kendrick highlights several key factors contributing to the bullish outlook for XRP. Firstly, it is the conclusion of the long-standing lawsuit between Ripple and the US Securities and Exchange Commission, which has reduced regulatory pressure. Additionally, this development could pave the way for the approval of an XRP ETF, enhancing accessibility for large financial institutions.
Overall Market Situation
Currently, XRP is trading at $3.03 with a market capitalization of $180.4 billion. In comparison, Ethereum holds a market cap of $570 billion, more than three times that of XRP. Kendrick points out that the XRP Ledger enables fast and low-cost cross-border money transfers, making it an appealing alternative to the slower SWIFT infrastructure.
Standard Chartered's forecast underscores XRP's future potential; however, the influence of other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum will also be crucial in this context.
