Storj has partnered with CUDOS, a decentralized physical infrastructure network focused on artificial intelligence and Web3. The collaboration aims to advance distributed compute and cloud storage solutions.
Partnership Goals
Storj and CUDOS have joined forces to push forward distributed compute and cloud storage solutions. The alliance involves Valdi, an on-demand AI compute provider recently acquired by Storj, and Cudo, the parent company of CUDOS and a cloud partner of Nvidia.
Key Statements and Plans
Storj CEO Ben Golub said, "Our distributed storage solutions ideally complement CUDOS’s compute infrastructure. Together, we’re creating a powerful platform that sets a new standard for scalable services that are a cost-effective and high-performance alternative to hyperscalers like Amazon for enterprises with a rapidly growing, high volume of data and rigorous standards for performance, security and sustainability." The platforms plan to use NVIDIA’s H100 and H200 chips to support the expanding AI market.
Storj's Competitors
Storj’s partnership with CUDOS follows a recent collaboration with cunoFS, a solution by software firm PetaGene. Together, they work on enhancing AI and video workflows. Key competitors of Storj in the decentralized cloud storage space include Filecoin (FIL) and Arweave (AR), as well as AIOZ Network, providing S3-compatible solutions for developers and businesses.
The initiative aims to provide businesses and developers with scalable and cost-effective solutions in the compute and storage sectors.
