Yahoo Taiwan Finance's survey shows investors are becoming more cautious, choosing ETFs and cryptocurrencies in response to market uncertainty.
Trends Among Taiwanese Investors
According to the survey of nearly 9,000 internet users, 60% of Taiwanese investors have become more risk-averse in 2025. ETFs are now the most preferred tool for hedging against market volatility, with 36% of respondents planning to increase their ETF investments, compared to just 28% for individual stocks.
Generational Divide in Investment Strategies
The survey also revealed a noticeable gap between generations. Gen Z investors, whose participation rose by 7%, are following diverse strategies based on advice from Gen X parents. Over 60% of respondents rely on family advice, while their investment goals include savings, long-term income, and short-term gains.
Role of Artificial Intelligence in Portfolio Management
A separate report from CoinGecko highlights that among crypto users, there is a growing interest in using artificial intelligence for portfolio management. 87% of surveyed crypto users are willing to let AI manage at least 10% of their digital assets, despite concerns regarding security.
According to recent data, Taiwanese investors are increasingly leaning toward conservative strategies, favoring ETFs and cryptocurrencies against a backdrop of rising market uncertainty. The generational aspect and interest in new technologies, such as AI, also play an important role in shaping modern investment strategies.
