The Tanssi Foundation has announced the expansion of the Tanssi protocol to Ethereum, allowing the rapid launch of decentralized networks (AVSs). This technology implementation was made possible through a partnership with Symbiotic, a leading restaking protocol.
Introduction
While rollups are crucial for scaling Ethereum, they might not always meet the needs for strong decentralization, customization, or interoperability. Decentralized networks (AVSs) address these factors by allowing flexible access to Ethereum's shared security through restaking, although these networks require significant resources and time to launch.
Innovations and Advantages
Tanssi simplifies the network launch process, reducing the time from months to minutes and easing management. Integration with Symbiotic's restaking protocol allows networks on Ethereum to tap into billions of dollars in staked ETH security, promoting decentralization and reducing reliance on a single source.
Prospects and Quotes
This collaboration also opens new opportunities for developers by integrating Substrate's flexible SDK for complete customization. Tanssi's system aids in quickly implementing AVSs using prebuilt templates and modules. These networks support diversified blockchain protocols and provide tools for use cases that traditional rollup architectures may not effectively serve.
Supported by investors including Arrington Capital and Fenbushi, Tanssi has already raised $9M for its growth. Over 2,000 application-specific blockchains have been deployed on its testnet, with a mainnet launch expected in early 2025.
