Pavel Durov, founder and CEO of Telegram, has appeared before an investigating judge in Paris after his detention period ended, according to several reports.

On August 28, Pavel Durov was taken to court following the end of his detention period. The Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported that Durov was brought to the court at around 1:00 pm Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
End of Durov's detention period
As previously reported, the Telegram founder was arrested at Le Bourget airport in Paris on August 24. French prosecutors subsequently released a statement on his arrest. Prosecutors said that Durov was taken into custody as part of a judicial investigation 'against an unnamed person' on multiple charges, including conspiracy with illegal activities, refusal to communicate to authorities, money laundering, criminal association, and providing cryptology services without prior declaration.
French authorities' statements
French authorities mentioned that they intended to question Durov as part of the investigation and extended his custody period to the maximum possible period of 96 hours from August 25 to August 28. The current detention period reportedly expires today at 6:00 pm UTC. In addition to potential charges from the investigating judge, the Paris Prosecutor's Office, or Parquet de Paris, is expected to issue a statement on Durov's arrest later in the day.
Thus, further official statements and possible charges against Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, are awaited as he has completed his detention period in France and appeared before the investigating judge.
