A Tennessee man, Kirk West, has been arrested for robbing his partner Nancy Jones, resulting in substantial losses of cash and cryptocurrency.

West was arrested at Nashville International Airport on July 24, a day after Nancy filed a police report. The report indicated that he stole two safes containing cash and cryptocurrency valued over $11 million. Nancy's crypto wallet held more than 5.5 million units of XRP.

Nancy met West in 2013 after the death of her husband, country music legend George Jones. West, posing as a potential buyer, soon moved in and began a romantic relationship. Nancy funded their activities, including a luxury vehicle.

West has previously faced legal issues, pleading guilty to federal bank fraud in 2016. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 23 for the theft charges, facing potential long-term imprisonment.
