Tether, the largest stablecoin issuer, has published its financial audit report for Q2 2025, showcasing significant issuance volumes and continued asset growth.
Tether’s Financial Results
According to the report prepared by independent auditing firm BDO, over $13.4 billion worth of new USDT was issued in the second quarter, bringing the circulating supply to over $157 billion. The total amount of USDT issued since the beginning of the year reached $20 billion.
Asset and Liability Structure
As of June 30, 2025, Tether's total assets stood at approximately $162.6 billion, while total liabilities were reported at $157.1 billion. Almost all of these liabilities correspond to digital tokens in circulation, bolstering the company's strong financial structure with shareholder equity nearing $5.47 billion.
Investments and Company Future
Tether generated around $4.9 billion in net profit for Q2 2025, with total net profit for the first six months of the year amounting to $5.7 billion. A significant portion of these profits was directed towards strategic investments, including projects like XXI Capital, Rumble, and Rumble Wallet development, with nearly $4 billion of investment allocated to the US economy.
