TikTok has announced the creation of its first Safety Advisory Council for Sub-Saharan Africa as part of efforts to enhance safety on its platform.
Council's Goals and Functions
The council was unveiled at the **#SaferTogether** summit held in Nairobi, Kenya. Members of the council will develop strategies to improve user safety and discuss emerging challenges. The council will meet with TikTok's global team quarterly.
