The tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs) is rapidly evolving, and recent studies show that this market could reach significant sizes.
Current Achievements in Asset Tokenization
According to Animoca Research, the market for tokenized assets is valued at $26.5 billion, marking a record high. Since the beginning of 2025, tokenized assets have increased by 70%. Key categories of tokenized assets include private credit and U.S. Treasuries, which make up nearly 90% of the total value.
Launch of the NUVA RWA Marketplace
Animoca has also launched its own marketplace for tokenized assets, NUVA, which will allow the company to expand its presence in this sector. The firm's specialists emphasize that platforms controlling the full lifecycle of tokenized assets could gain long-term advantages.
Future of Tokenization and Challenges
A forecast by CertiK suggests that tokenized RWAs could reach $16 trillion by 2030, with U.S. Treasuries projected at $4.2 billion for 2025. However, there are known challenges, such as thin secondary market liquidity and uneven legal frameworks. Easier access and clearer regulations could help change the current situation.
Despite significant growth and opportunities, tokenized assets remain small compared to the potential of $400 trillion. The involvement of new players could alter the interaction between traditional finance and the crypto industry.
