Both TON and Solana blockchains recently faced several technical issues, which, however, were successfully resolved, allowing both networks to return to normal operations.
Second Disruption on TON Blockchain
Early morning on August 29, the TON wallet announced via Telegram that the TON network became fully operational again following a second disruption. The TON team announced that TON-based asset withdrawals and deposits in the wallet would be credited in due course. On August 28, block production on the TON blockchain experienced a significant disruption due to the heavy load attributed to DOGS token minting. According to official Tonscan data, the TON blockchain is now operating smoothly, with blocks being produced without any issues. Previously, the TON network recorded another block production issue lasting about 7 hours, also caused by DOGS token transactions.
TON’s Outages and New Opportunities
Both Telegram and the TON blockchain faced problems in the past few days. Telegram's CEO, Pavel Durov, was arrested in France over the weekend, and the TON blockchain experienced the aforementioned disruptions. However, these issues do not necessarily mean failure for the projects, as resolving such problems is part of developing new technologies. The challenges for TON could push the team to develop new validators to prevent future major outages.
Solana’s Growth and Improvement
Solana also experienced various issues but managed not only to survive but also to improve. The last network outage was recorded in February when the network was down for five hours. Afterward, Solana was restarted by validators. Now, Solana's system is fully operational. Additionally, Solana engaged Jump Crypto to develop a new validator to prevent future outages.
Both TON and Solana blockchains have demonstrated their capabilities to recover and improve amidst crises. Solana's experience indicates that such network disruptions can lead to growth and strengthening, which we may also see with TON.
