XRP Ledger to Incorporate Tokenized Gold and Silver by Q3, 2024

According to the X announcement, Meld Gold has partnered with Ripple, a fintech company based in San Francisco. This collaboration will introduce two stablecoins backed by silver and gold on the XRP Ledger. The tokens, each representing a gram of precious metal held by MKS Pamp and Imperial Vaults, are set to launch on the XRP Ledger in Q3, 2024. CEO Michael Cotton of Meld Gold emphasized the significance of this move, noting that integrating XRPL alongside Algorand is a key step towards providing unparalleled access to assets like gold and silver.

Cardano Poised for Major Milestone

In a recent communication, Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, announced the imminent arrival of Cardano Node 9.0. This development signals Cardano's readiness for the Chang fork, requiring 70% of stake pool operators to update to the new node. Upon completion, Cardano will progress to the Age of Voltaire through a hard fork, a phase deemed by Hoskinson as the most substantial in Cardano's history. The Voltaire era aims to enhance ecosystem decentralization and transparency, envisioning Cardano as a decentralized civilization with advanced governance systems.

Awakening of an Ancient ETH Whale

In a report by Colin Wu on Saturday, June 8, an Ethereum whale, undisclosed since 2015, transferred 15,200 ETH to Kraken, valued at $56.1 million. Most of the ETH was traded for 4.81 million DAI at an average of $2,725 per ETH. The whale, originally receiving 200,000 ETH from the Ethereum Foundation address, still holds 41,000 ETH amounting to $152.3 million. This recent transaction marks only the third movement from the account since 2022, following significant transfers to centralized exchanges in 2020-2021.
