US presidential candidate Donald Trump has endorsed cryptocurrencies and announced the launch of his project World Liberty Financial.

KYC Announcement

The Trump family-associated project World Liberty Financial announced on its official website the launch of the KYC (Know Your Customer) process.

Investor Requirements

World Liberty Financial stated that they have initiated the KYC process for investors looking to purchase the WLFI governance token and that this should only be done by accredited investors in the USA. Investors must complete KYC to access additional information about token sales, and only accredited investors will have access to this information.

Donald Trump's Statement

Former President Trump confirmed during a livestream on the X platform on September 16 that World Liberty Financial will sell a non-transferable governance token called WLFI, with participation limited to accredited investors. According to the statement, the distribution of WLFI will be as follows: 63% to be sold to the public, 17% for user rewards, and 20% for the team. Quote: "Additional information regarding the World Liberty Financial (WLFI) token sale is intended to be made available only to those who have pre-qualified by completing the KYC process. This information is intended to be provided only to persons who have been verified as U.S. accredited investors. This page is not intended as an offer to sell tokens or a solicitation of an offer to buy tokens in any jurisdiction."

"Know Your Customer" or KYC process is necessary to verify a customer's identity and prevent illegal activities such as money laundering and fraud.
